REALIZING THE PROBLEM
Realizing and admitting you have a problem with animal and child abuse is the first and most important step to getting help.

There are many ways that you can abuse an animal or child that counts as abuse. Hitting, kicking, having sex with, throwing things at, or causing any pain, etc., toward an animal or child all count as abuse whether you realize it or not.

Statistics say that “More than 70 percent of women who enter a shelter report that their abuser has hurt, killed, or threatened the family pet” (Antoniotti). With such a high percentage of abuse being reported, the solutions on the next page need to be addressed.

Dogs

Abuse toward animals often times leads toward child abuse because it gives the abuser a high for abusing the less powerful beings.
